How do I change the default font size on Microsoft Word?
Okay, I’m tired of this font that Microsoft Word has as it’s default. Is there anyway I can change the font and resize it if I want to? Or am I really stuck with this? I hope there are ways to change this. I’m dying to have a more artistic look when I type!
Fortunately for you (and for all of us), you can change the default font and size that comes with Microsoft Word. Yeah, I know… the Times New Roman font is getting too old, and it’s too plain!
Well, here’s what you need to do to fix all that:
1. Open Microsoft Word to a blank document.
2. Click on “Format” and then “Font” in the menu bar. This will open a window for changing the font type, style and size.
3. Change the font size and any other changes you might want to make.
4. In the lower, left hand corner of the window, there is a button that says “Default…” click on this button.
5. A window will appear asking you if you want to change the default font. It will also tell you that this will affect all new documents based on the NORMAL template. Click “Yes”.
There you go… you have now set your own default font and size for Microsoft Word. Good luck as you type up all those documents!
* By the way, just make sure to change the fonts when you write legal documents or formal papers. Cheers!
