What is Honey Droplist
Honey has a great tool called Droplist, which is a price notification tool. Honey will watch items from retailers that include Amazon, Walmart, Target and Macy’s. If you use Amazon, anything you add to your Amazon wish list will be automatically added to the Droplist. As soon as there’s a lower price available you will receive a notification. Alternatively, you can set a price yourself so that when the price falls below that threshold you will be notified instantly.
There’s no need to monitor the price yourself because Honey will do that for you. It will even take the shipping, tax, Prime status and seller reputation into account to get you the best deal.
Honey Price Tracker
You can check the price history of an item by clicking “Price History”. This will show you how the price has varied over the last 30 days, 60 days or 120 days. If the price varies often this can be a good indicator that the price is likely to drop in the future giving you a better deal if you just wait.
The Honey Price Tracker will tell you when the price last changed, provide a graph of the price changes over time, alert you to lower prices from non-Amazon sells and offer to swap a product in your cart for it’s lower-priced counterpart.
Mobile and Desktop use
Honey is available on both mobile and desktop and is supported on major browsers such as Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Opera (although not Internet Explorer). It works on thousands of stores including non-US shopping sites.
Unfortunately there’s no iPhone app right now but that may change as demand increase.
Tips for using the Honey App/Extension
• Make sure you whitelist Honey if you use an adblocker as it may prevent it from working properly.
• Don’t forget to use Droplist and get notified when a deal becomes available on Amazon.
• Don’t forget to use Honey travel as it will save you significant amounts of money by providing travel deals and vouchers for hotels and flights.
To summarize the Honey browser can save you hundreds of dollars if you shop online regularly by finding you the best deals automatically. It will do this by notifying you when the price drops, track changes in price, alert you when there’s a better deal from another Amazon seller, alert you when a coupon code is available, automatically apply coupons to items in your shopping cart and allow you to accrue HoneyGold points which you can then be redeemed for gift cards. And the best part of this is that all of this is free.
