To go to full screen you Press F11 on your keyboard. However, there are occasions when you can’t press F11 or want a quicker method.
For example if you have a minimal keyboard and don’t have the F11 key option, or you’re sick of the “immersive mode” on the Chromebook and need more screen space, or maybe you just want a quicker method of going full screen that doesn’t involve fumbling for the F11 key in the dark.
There’s a Google extension that makes this as simple as clicking an icon at the top of the screen with your mouse.
Not only will it allow full screen mode, there’s an option to automatically bring the video to Full Screen when you click the play button.
The extension is called Full Screen and was created by Stefan Van Damme who’s responsible for some great extensions. If you like the plugin please help him continue creating more extensions by offering a small donation at his website.
Just visit this link to download the extension. Once you’ve downloaded the extension you’ll have a small icon at the top of the screen. Just click the icon to go full screen and press Esc to exit full screen in Chrome.
If you go to the Full Screen menu extensions options there’s also an option to enable videos to be played at full screen when you click the play button.
